When anyone comes Mumbai , the food which they see everywhere is VADA-PAV .Vada-Pav is simple and delicious dish , which is the first love of every Mumbaikar . It is said that half of the Mumbai lives by eating Vada-Pav
It contains a cuttlet like thing inside the Soft Bread (Pav) , which is called Vada . Initially it is mashed the boiled potatoes and mixed with Garlic , Ginger , Chilli peppers and patty is made and then it is dipped into the Besan syrup by making a cuttlet shape and it is dipped into the oil . Vada-Pav is then served in a different style , the soft Bread i.e. Pav is separated from the middle into two parts and the chutney or sauce is put on it and the fried Vada is kept between it and is eaten with full enjoyment . The chutney or sauce which is put into it is mandatory , without it the recipe is incomplete . For more taste , the chillies are fried and eaten with it .
Vada comes from the Marathi compound word Batata Vada , which means "Potato Fritter " . Pav is a derivative of Portuguese word "pāo" , which means sweetened Bread .
My thoughts about the Vada-Pav Lovers is....
VADA-PAV lovers adjust to the most adverse situation . They are Sarcastic and Though but also straight forward , friendly nd and live life independently . They are indeed the "Tikha Log" like the Chutney inside but Humble like the Pav outside.

- One of the earliest kiosks selling Vada-Pav is said to be Khidki Vada-Pav located on Kalyan .
- It was started in the late , 1960 , by Vaze family , who used to hand out Vada-Pav from Khidki (The Marathi word for "Window") .
